Classic Holiday Movie Guides

To me, one important aspect of the holidays is gathering around with family and watching those classic holiday films that get you in the spirit of the season. Sure, you've seen them hundreds of times, can quote scene by scene, but that's all part of what makes these films memorable for families. I know many of you have your own traditional family films, but if you want to add more or are looking to put together a family film list, there are tons of sites and reviews online that can help you find the perfect holiday film.

For those of you that want to put together your own Christmas movie festival, I've found some places you can look to compile your list. Classicmovies.org has a great list of class films, with brief reviews and then resources you can use to determine if you like the film or not yourself. From the classic film list at About.com, you can read blurbs about the films and then purchase the ones you like immediately, which you can find here. If you prefer an unconventional holiday, Wired.com has a list of unconventional movies to watch during the holidays. The MSN movies site has a list of current and classic holiday films that are sure to brighten up the holidays, which can be accessed here. And good old Turner Classic Movies has a gift guide for the classic movie lover in your family, which can be found here.

I hope this has helped you find some film entertainment over the holidays or reminded you about some forgotten films that help bring the spirit to life.
